Corporate Membership

What do companies gain from being a Corporate Member?

Corporate Membership of the Trust is an effective way in which to demonstrate to your staff, customers, suppliers, neighbours, other stakeholders and the public that your company takes its social and environmental responsibilities seriously. Corporate Membership of Cheshire Wildlife Trust is good for the environment and good for business.

Corporate membership provides the following benefits to your company and your staff:
• The opportunity for your company to play a practical part in conservation activities
• Three issues of The Grebe, your local Wildlife Trust magazine, keeping you informed about wildlife on
your doorstep
• The Natural World, the Wildlife Trusts national magazine three times a year, with the latest wildlife news
• Publicity for your company in our publications and on our web site
• Sponsorship opportunities
• Access to the Trust’s nature reserves
• Access to environmental consultancy expertise
• Invitations to events
• Opportunities for staff to lend a hand and play a direct role in helping local wildlife while team-building
• Membership certificate for display at your premises
The knowledge that your support is crucial in helping to keep our local precious wildlife safe for the future

As a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation and environmental education, your membership is vital in keeping Cheshire Wildlife Trust alive and active. Donations enable us to continue our vital work, including supporting projects such as dormouse re-introduction, otter recovery, black poplar restoration, and nature reserve management in Cheshire, Halton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wirral.

The importance of the business-environment link

“It’s evident that a significant change is taking place in the business world today. Leading companies are showing increasing commitment to the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, as more and more investors and other stakeholders are looking to see what companies are doing as part of their environmental and sustainability initiatives.

But how can we, as individuals and as businesses, when faced with seemingly enormous issues such as climate change, make an effective difference? The much used phrase “think global, act local” really sums it up - only by each one of us being responsible for our own actions at a local level can we all help to address the environmental challenges facing the planet.

Cheshire Wildlife Trust carries out important conservation and environmental education work at a local and regional level, but our work is only possible by the participation of our partners and members. Our relationship with our corporate members reflects the partnership approach that is vital in the business-environment link. Supporting the Trust represents an opportunity to help make a real difference to help protect our amazing environment and its wildlife locally. Do something special - become a corporate member today!”

The Trust and our Corporate Members, from David Bellamy OBE

“Cheshire as you know is a very special place, and the same is true of its flora and fauna. Over the years I have spent many fascinating days discovering its natural wonders for myself.

As the national President of The Wildlife Trusts, I am proud to promote the activities of Cheshire Wildlife Trust and I know that through sensible management and careful protection we will ensure the wellbeing of the region’s wildlife and wild places. A healthy environment is essential, not only for us, but also more importantly for our children.

The Trust acknowledges the efforts made by industry and business to achieve and maintain environmental standards, and recognises the significant contribution that these efforts can make towards the protection of our unique natural heritage. As a charity, Cheshire Wildlife Trust relies on the continued support of Corporate Members and over the years it has enjoyed a happy and successful relationship with a number of local companies, large and small. Please help the Trust to achieve its aims with your own Corporate Membership application.”
